Asus m4a785 m updating the bios absolute dating volcanic ash layers
I was able to set all aspects of the BIOS without issue as well as unlock the 4th core on the processor.
We have 1 Asus M4AM – Motherboard – Micro ATX manual available for free PDF.
It asks for the BIOS on CD-ROM, I insert the included disk and while it finds the file it tells me it's too old.
What I've done now is to place the CMOS jumper on the reset position, unplug the power and let it sit for several hours, I've also unplugged all the hard drives. Is it somehow possible that the main hard drive could have written to the BIOS and altered it somehow? I plan on calling Asus next week in between holidays but otherwise I'm sending it back to New Egg for replacement. What Dataman is saying is to make certain your BIOS values are set correctly for your motherboard.
Without opening the case, I believe it is a 650W PS.
Sometime in the not so distant future I plan on installing an 850w PS when Income Tax Refunds become available.Failure to do so may cause you physical injury and damage motherboard components. Use the navigation keys to select items in the menu and change the settings.
